Immortal

Everything has to be mine
The world must bow before me

Tarred with an eternal imprint
Born of pure, incurable fear
A useful prison, all too familiar
It must be maintained at all cost

I do not dare to die
The light will not take me
I dare not truly live
As I would die

The dehumanising light of existence
Has been no such home to me
The shadows keep me alive
So that I may walk among them in ease

No god may mark my flesh
No human may sedate my hunger
I am life eternal
I am all eternity
