Another Light
I thought I saw smoke run down and colour the sea
discreet difference in the movement now.
falling asleep,
my head heavy with the ocean sound but I can’t help calling out
for you
to cocoon my heart and pull apart it's value.
you pull me out of the dark in to another light
this is the start, just pull me through tonight.
I thought I saw the smoke cool down, we covered the heat.
the sleet trickled from my skin to ground because I couldn’t be
any more dissolved than you have me.
the light can’t help crawling out
for you
I’d elude the dark. you’re my counterpart, I need you.
