Lucidity
Dragged down by weighty night
Hollow, weary eyes fixated
The world moves faster
Time is a wheel
Every second
Every hour
In this endless haze of doubt
The world moves faster
Dragged into pits of disillusion
Dreams of nothing
I am lost to this world
Truth means nothing more than human delusions
Self-defeating, self-deceiving, self is death
We are but whispers in the wind
Realize now, all we have is suffering
I am released from this blinding, white light
To find elusive, fleeting reprieve from chaos
Empty and hollow is the path towards the sun
Instead we fall as constructs ill-contrived
Into abyssal onslaught of self-hatred
Folly is man, a monument to nothingness
Must we all die for this empty illusion?
A monument to nothingness
Break free from this fog
These mists of obstruction
No longer to be cast aside
I wake from this deep, dark slumber
Break from old, trodden path
Towards the land of being
No longer will I wallow
In this pit of despair
Every second, every hour
I will spend in pursuit of meaning
