Sentinel

Shrouded in misery
I stand on the edge of endless abyss
Fading heart, hollow

Silent and still
Solitary sentinel gazes inward
Inner emptiness consumes all
Hope fades with the growing dusk

For the heart fails, pierced by
By the bleakest of wisdom
For all our myths, symbols and promises
Are dust, shackles and chains

The gateway opens before me
A path to liberation
And as the sun sets
I lay on cold ground

Through aeons of nothingness, I hear the еarthen echo
The song of cavеrn and loam
To carry me home
