The Alchemyst
I weirded out when they put (?) in the reefer
She clearly found the (?) a notch beneath her
There was nothing in their makeup she could compute
When the penny finally dropped
The apprehension was swapped
For a smile and glint in her eye
I don't know why I've never seen quite such a change of heart
You could see her grow dead set on playing her biggest part
Her prejudice was reduced to nothing more
I don't know what it takes
How much regret, how many mistakes
How much toil you had to sit through
To even begin to get a clue
But when the penny finally drops
The aggravation and heart ache just stops
And the hurt and the lies will show in your eyes
At least then what they'll see
No grudges
Permission to be free
A fire
Burning for all to see
Before our eyes it's coming together
With braver minds and (?) the wayward weather
A brand new day is rising before our eyes
No fear no hatred no mercy no compromise
