The End

Tim Roth

I walk beneath the blinding city lights
They're selling me countless parasites
Machines producing profound poetry
Like Robert Frost without the letter "E"
A whistle tells the masses to go home
It's been replaced by circuit boards and foam
Once I board the public submarine
The window breaks and floods the room with steam

It stops before the gates of stainless steel
The other side has never been revealed

Crisis averted, the end won't draw nigh
The death ray flew past us and struck a different sky
Look out the window, tornadoes pass by
And battleships impose their will on those who don't comply

The passengers in glistening hazmat
Knock down the door to their new habitat
It opens onto palaces and shrines
Before the air dissolves them and ignites

With nothing left to hold the people down
The crowds ascend above the battleground

Crisis averted, the end won't draw nigh
The death ray flew past us and struck a different sky
Look out the window, tornadoes pass by
And battleships impose their will on those who don't comply

Glaciers move faster as waterfalls freeze
The stunning conclusion to Mother Nature's pleas
Sunsets burn orange through windmills and trees
Hovercars drop waste into contaminated seas
