I had to go through things to rediscover me

No point doing music again is what some people were telling me
I told them this is more than music, this has been my therapy
I'm usually smiling so this is the side that you never see
Couldn't talk bout these lost thoughts so I put them in a melody
Life was my enemy when I couldn't get no rest
I seemed okay but needed to say, so much shit that was deep in my brain
But thought I could cope and forget this mess
You never woulda guessed I'm stressed
One thing I've learnt in life is anybody can get depressed
You probably felt like me and I probably felt like you
And that person that you envy they probably felt this too
I hope you listen to this deep what I say and it helps you through
Maybe it will help you through cah it helped me through
See that's why I do this that's what I jumped back on the music
Cos I was in a dark, dark place where I felt like I was gonna lose it
So glad that I didn't lose it but music it helped me get through shit

I tell them that I'm not so young anymore
