Serenity

Life can be full of difficulties
Life is far from perfect
Sometimes life can be unfair
It can drain out your courage
And at times it could pin you down
And leave you in despair
You may find something that could give you strength
But at times there's nothing you could hold on to
And when life gets tough and you don't have the hope to cling on
Look up and cry out
Dear Lord
There is so much pain in this life
So many thoughts bothering me robbing me of my peace
I wanted to escape but I realized nothing will change
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change
The courage to change the things I can
And the wisdom to know the difference
