Kjelkvik, Nordland
With heavy eyelids you stared into the light
That fell so sharply and formed a square on your wide eyes
Absence of sun as a form to forget the time
And the mountain shielded and created a womb for our minds
As December passed so swiftly piled the days
Into a calm blue center of nothingness in our brains
Outside the white door of our house
Northern lights were dancing red in the sky
We spoke of nature the taste of poetry on our tongues
We followed the tide the moon was absent in the sky
As we danced on the porch while the stars fell in the night
Together alone in this cove of ice and fire
(Don’t wake me up)
To feel our existence with each moment of passing time
The rocks at the ocean floor like paintings from another life
To swim in the sea at the end of the rocky shore
Forever alone forever together with it all
